Mr. Akeju holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in law from the Lagos State University and University of Lagos respectively. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992. He is an alumnus of the prestigious London Business School Executive Education on Private Equity & Venture Capital Program.

He garnered significant cognate experience in corporate, commercial and Investment banking law while acting as Company Secretary of KPH Consulting Limited (a Financial Consultancy & Asset Management firm). Prior to that he was Deputy Head of Investments of Amalgamated Capital Fund Limited (a Venture Capital/Private Equity firm).  Mr. Akeju also worked with the legal and credit team of Access Bank Plc and thereafter Habib Nigeria Bank Plc (now Bank PHB Plc); where he was part of the pioneer team that set up the first ethical/Non-Interest Banking unit in any financial institution in Nigeria. While working at the law firm of Victor & Charles (now AELEX Partners) and Abudu, Dalley & Co. and M.O. Oseni and Co, he gained valuable experience in Compliance, Oil & Gas and Environmental Law.
